Enrichment-Based Care Tailored To The Needs Of Your Pup

At Canine Lane Dog Daycare and Training Centre, we offer more than just typical daycare — we provide an immersive, positive reinforcement (R+) and enrichment based experience that supports your dog’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Based in the heart of New Westminster, our daycare program is designed with your dog’s happiness and balanced development in mind. 

Life can get busy — that’s why we’ve created a space where your dog can learn, play, and belong to a family pack even while you're away.

• All dogs have access to our beautiful outdoor play yard, complete with play structures, wading pools, splash pads, ball pit, and sand pit. 
•  Our play  yard is covered in pet grade astroturf so its more comfortable on joints and bones and is disinfected twice daily with safe, enzymatic cleaners.  Dogs are allowed to free-roam both inside and outside during the day, giving them a sense of autonomy.  They can take a snooze in the sun or join in activities and/or social play with their dog pals.   This offers them a home-style environment, and security. helping to decrease stress levels. 
• Dogs participate in pack enrichment activities such as: training games, foundational agility, scentwork games, chasing bubbles, slatmill sessions,  gate manners. basic manners lessons, engaging with prey puzzles and games, and of course supervised group play.
• We operate on a membership only basis, quickly becoming known as the improved dog daycare model.

Our membership-only program ensures an exclusive and safe experience where your pup gets the attention and care they deserve. Once enrolled, your dog is part of of an exclusive, familiar pack.All of are daycare dogs are regulars, and become bonded to us and each other. We don't accept walk-ins as we do not want your dog to remain in a state of constant alert.  Strangers coming and going all the time can negatively affect the stress levels in dogs and our goal is for them to feel relaxed and comfortable when they are with us.

We operate on the fear-free and force-free premise that ensures that your dog will never be allowed to be bullied or harassed by other dogs when engaged in social play and that only positive play experiences are encouraged.  

Your dog will be individually matched for compatibility and placed in suitable play groups of no more than approximately  2-5 like-minded playmates at a time.   We cap our total number at a staff ratio of 1:10  maximum.  This ensures that staff are able to accurately gauge and read the body language of all dogs in the area, ensuring that all pups feel safe while having fun. 

Members can customize their dog’s day with unique add-ons such as:

• Pack walks and swims
• Stuffed Kongs
• Birthday parties (including exclusively hand-made, human grade birthday cakes) 
• Nail trims and grooming touch-ups (full grooming coming soon!)
• Slatmill sessions (including initial training)
• "Pawrent" - Teacher conference (detailed behaviour summary provided plus 30 mins of in person supportive training and direction)

*NOTE:  For your dog's first month with us,  the pack walk/swim is a mandatory add-on.  This enables them to develop a cooperative bond with the other dogs much more expediently.  After that, daily pack walks are optional.  Though the majority of the pack  does continue this add-on as they understand the benefits for their dog.   It is by far our most popular add-on.
