We want our program to be safe, fun and a second home for your furbaby. Dogs feel safest and most secure when they know what to expect. We keep our playgroup numbers low and we only accept well-adjusted, temperament tested dogs. All dogs are carefully matched with other canine playpals so that there is little room for fearful or negative experiences. Therefore, we do not accept walk-ins or strange dogs that may not be a good fit for your pup. With a membership program, we can guarantee that services are accessible exclusively to dogs that we know and whom your dog knows and likes. Plus, its alot easier than worrying about reservations or when packages expire! We just ask that you commit to a minimum 1x week attendance.
No. All payments are made monthly according to the level of membership that you have signed up for. This way, you don't have to worry about unused days or whether your package is about to expire or not. With our membership program, it's easy! You just drop your dog off on the same day(s) every week. It is always YOUR reserved spot. We will not give it away to anyone else. No panic about not having made a reservation in time or paying for days that may expire. (depending on the membership, you can still make reservations on a different day than your regular day so no worries, its flexible)..
We pride ourselves on running much like a human child's daycare centre. Our days are structured and every hour or so, your pup will be offered either an individual or group exercise. These involve being allowed to engage in natural foraging exercises, training games, group or individual obedience refreshers, puzzles, pack walks or individual sniffing walks, paw or nose art, trick training, as well as free play etc, etc.
Depending on your level of membership, your dog will receive either daily or weekly report cards, daily or weekly pictures and/or videos so you can see firsthand all of the fun that they will be having and all of the learning they will be doing! We also offer weekly or monthly themes! These will be posted on the board as you enter the centre so you can see what your pup will be getting up to that week or month!
Unfortunately, for the safety of all members of our canine family here, we must receive your pup's vaccination records before they start their first day with us here at Canine Lane.
To reduce agitation and tension among the pack and to facilitate consistency, we only do full days currently. If you are feeling nervous and it's your furbabe's first day or week with us, then feel free to call mid-day and we can give you a quick update. Rest assured that we will go out of our way to make them feel welcomed and loved. If we have any concerns, we will call you to discuss.
We understand that things happen and the first time you are late (up to 15 mins) is on us. However, after that, we will need to charge a late fee and the fee is $1.00 for every minute late according to our clock at Canine Lane. Please call us ahead of time if possible to alert us and make us aware of your ETA. If you require early or late pick-ups, please discuss with us or sign up for our Platinum package as early and late pickups are free!
