 Canine Lane is New Westminster's newest, unique dog care facility. We offer an enrichment immersed dog daycare, as well as dog boarding, and dog daycamp training, all within a  home-style environment.  

We are literally your dog's second home.

Here are some highlights that make us your 

ONE OF A KIND daycare and boarding facility:

• Flexible hours - We are able to tailor our services to almost any schedule. Work past 6 pm? Going out to dinner and would like us to keep your pup past our regular closing time?  We can fulfill almost any suitable request made in advance. 

• Outdoor playground - No other urban doggie daycare in New West has a fully fenced outdoor play area geared directly towards the dogs!  This ensures that the dogs have ample space, fresh air, and a varied environment.    They can cool off in one of the wading pools or on the splash pad sprinkler, hunt for balls in the ballpit, chase one another in and around the playhouse and dig to their heart's content in the sandpit.   And they remain mud-free while doing so as our outdoor area is covered in canine grade astroturf.  

• Small numbers - Playgroups consist of no more than 4 or 5 dogs at a time and the maximum number of dogs per day is capped at 10 dogs.  This ensures adequate supervision and that every pup gets some special "me" time.  In larger groups, certain dogs can be singled out and bullied without handlers noticing.   We don't allow that to happen.

• WE ARE 100% FORCE FREE AND FEAR FREE.

When your pup is one of our pack members, they will: 

• Be placed in small play groups of dogs with which they are comfortable and familiar, and/or who they are matched for in terms of their play style, size, and age.

• Be rewarded and encouraged to confidently bond and feel safe with their caregiver.

• Be taught with positive training methods ONLY (R+), with constant observation of their emotional threshold.

• Be treated as an individual being, with a unique personality, with  likes, fears and dislikes all their own.

• Your dog won’t be thrown into a large playgroup of dogs that he/she doesn’t know.

• Your dog will not be yelled or screamed at.

• Your dog will not be hit in the face with a sharp stream of water from a spray bottle.

• Your dog will not be antagonized, bullied or overwhelmed by inappropriate situations/other dogs during playgroup

• Your dog will not be “punished” or “disciplined” with fear or force in our care. EVER.

***NOTE: We are currently almost at full-time capacity.   There are limited spots available at this time.  Anyone that is unable to secure an immediate spot will be put on a waiting list.

2. Wait for us to contact you to set up an evaluation meeting and to ask any questions we may have (we usually contact you within a few hours).
3. View and sign the e-waiver and  policies and procedures agreement that you will receive in your email inbox.
4. Attend your Evaluation meeting.
5. Choose your membership package and schedule your furbaby's first day!
